A duel between noble clans of the Fae is a complicated affair
It is as much a dance as a duel, as much about humiliating the opponent as killing them. The duel must be conducted with elegance and grace and an inelegant kill is far worse than a loss.
As often as not, the dead duelist is considered to be the winner and the honor of his clan is boosted at the expense of the loser and their clan.
